PRESENT: Trustees: Pat McKenna-Bausch, Ann Scolnick, Ann M. Berger, Charles Rosner,
Via virtual conference: Kim Hawkins
Library Director: Joanne Adam
Assistant Library Directors: Kristine Casper and Teresa Schwind
Business Manager: Jennifer Mulvihill


Ms. Berger called the meeting to order at 6:11 p.m.

Ms. Scolnick made a motion, seconded by Ms. McKenna-Bausch, to approve the agenda for the May 4, 2021, Special Board of Trustees Meeting. The vote was unanimous.

Joanne Adam presented the 2021-2022 Library Operating Budget and answered questions from members of the public in attendance.

Trustee, Chuck Rosner, gave a brief presentation announcing his intention to run for another term as Trustee and answered questions from members of the public in attendance.

Unfinished Business: Observance of the upcoming Juneteenth Holiday.

A motion was made by Mr. Rosner, seconded by Ms. McKenna-Bausch, that for this year only, the library will be closed on Saturday, June 19, 2021 and eligible staff will be paid one day holiday pay in observance of the Juneteenth holiday. Future observances will be recognized and defined within the collective bargaining agreement currently being negotiated. The vote passed with Ms. Hawkins, Ms. Scolnick, Ms. McKenna-Bausch, and Mr. Rosner voting in favor with Ms. Berger abstaining.

There was no Correspondence and Communication.

A period of public expression was held.

At 6:42 p.m., a motion was made by Mr. Rosner, seconded by Ms. Scolnick to adjourn the
meeting. At 6:42 p.m., the meeting was adjourned.
