Snakes?  Why’d it have to be a craft about snakes?  Because they’re adorable and fun to make, that’s why!

AUTHOR DAY: Christina Soontornvat 
Christina Soontornvat is an award-winning author, engineer, and STEM educator.  Her many works for children include picture books and the Diary of an Ice Princess chapter book series.  Her middle grade fantasy novel, A Wish in the Dark, and All Thirteen: The Incredible Cave Rescue of the Thai Boys’ Soccer Team were both named 2021 Newbery Honor Books.  We’ll chat about several of her books including ALL THIRTEEN: THE INCREDIBLE CAVE RESCUE OF THE THAI BOYS’ SOCCER TEAM. MASHUP DAY: Big Mouth Frog story and Origami Jumping Frog 
Page Turner tells the story of the Big Mouth frog, then shows the kids how to make their own jumping frogs using only an index card.
